FAA A&P Mechanic

Ideal Candidates Should Posses:

  • US Resident/Citizen with legal right-to-work status
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule. Shifts may be—Mornings (7a-4p), Afternoons (11a-8p). 2FLY operate 365 days/year, from 7a to 8p.
  • FAA A&P Certificate (IA preferred, but not required)
  • Two years minimum experience on General Aviation aircraft, preferably on aircraft included in our fleet: PA28, PA44, PA34, PA31, C172 (preferred, but not required)

Expected pay based on experience from $18-$27/hour. This position reports directly to the Director of Maintenance.

FAA Certified Flight Instructor

Ideal Candidates Should Posses:

  • US Resident/Citizen with legal right-to-work status
  • FAA Commercial Single/Multi Engine Certificate
  • FAA CFI and CFII (MEI is preferred)
  • Have logged at least 200 hours as flight instructor (preferred)

Expected pay is $20-25 per flight hour, based on experience. This position reports directly to the Chief Pilot and will be responsible for delivering both ground and flight training under Part 61 & 141, from private through commercial, single and multi-engine.

Line Service Technician

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. ON THE JOB TRAINING PROVIDED.

The Line Service Technician is a customer service position that is responsible for supporting all ground operations for inbound and outbound flight school airplanes, and charter and transient airplanes and passengers.

Additionally, Line Service is a support position to other departments: Flight Department, Aircraft Maintenance, and Building Facilities.

Line Service Technicians require good decision-making skills, the ability to follow company procedures, flexibility in a dynamic working environment and must possess good interpersonal communication skills.

Line Service Technicians work with fuels and other flammable, hazardous materials; proper handling procedures must be followed. Operating vehicles and moving aircraft in close proximity of people, buildings and other aircraft require extreme caution. Procedures must be followed for your personal safety, the safety of others, and the protection of company and customer property.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fuel aircraft.
  • Tow and marshal aircraft.
  • Ensure aircraft are chocked, and secure.
  • Assist with loading / unloading baggage on transient/charter aircraft.
  • Top off fuel trucks / complete proper paperwork.
  • Operate ground support equipment.
  • Drive company vehicles off-site for various tasks as assigned.
  • Assist other departments as required including facility cleaning and other tasks as assigned.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have the legal right-to-work in the US.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to be a team player.
  • Ability to think creatively with multiple objectives and implement them in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Follow oral and written directions; plan and complete assigned duties on a regular schedule, and maintain good working relationships with others.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including overtime when required. We operate seven days per week, 365 days per year from 7am to 8pm. (Schedules do change and employees must be flexible to changes as they occur, examples include but are not limited too, vacation and sick coverage.)
  • Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks including but not limited to facility cleaning, vehicle washing, aircraft cleaning, and vacuuming.
  • Ability to work without direct management supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Stepping up/down on ladders, tugs, and fuel trucks.
  • Lift luggage from ground level to waist and overhead while loading aircraft, up to 75 lbs.
  • Bending and stooping to pick up tow bars and other equipment, up to 75 lbs.
  • Stooping below wings to chock aircraft.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods, running when required.
  • Good hand-eye coordination with good peripheral vision.
  • Must be comfortable with working outdoors, day, night, and in all weather conditions.
